Game-Changer for Hydrogen Tech: Destinus Welcomes Custom Liquid Storage Tanks

Recently we received our first Liquid Hydrogen Storage tank, custom-designed and built specifically for Destinus, along with our first Liquid Nitrogen Tank.

“This is an exciting moment for our team, as we are closer than ever to seeing our Liquid Hydrogen test facility come online for propulsion testing. It’s a significant step towards revolutionizing sustainable hydrogen-powered technologies and unlocking full hydrogen potential" says Michael.

Located in Payerne, Switzerland, Destinus H2 Park will be equipped to conduct tests using gaseous hydrogen and oxygen, liquid hydrogen and nitrogen, as well as conventional kerosene. The testing facility will handle 50 kN motors with a flow rate of 0.5 kg/s for both liquid hydrogen and nitrogen under controlled conditions (regulated pressure, temperature, and flow rate).

We are on track to begin gas system testing by Q3 2024, with liquid system testing slated for Q3 2025.
